AZZARO was founded by French fashion designer Loris Azzaro. In 1962, Loris Azzaro went to Paris to present his creations and perfume lines. By 1968, his company was a huge success. He became well known in Paris for his glamorous dress designs for the elite of French society. He was also known for using bright fabric colors.

Throughout his long career, he has dressed many celebrities, including Dalida, Sophia Loren, Raquel Welch, Marisa Berenson, Claudia Cardinale, Isabelle Adjani, Kate Winslet and Nicole Kidman. Azzaro has published a wide range of women's and men's line products, such as: clothing, accessories and perfumes as well as eyeglass frames.
In 1975, he created his first fragrance for women, "Couture", which became his main perfume. His favorite color was blue. Like its founder, it is a Mediterranean brand that is inspired by human adventures. Azzaro promotes the instinct of fun, the joy of life and preaches sunny hedonism.
