The influence of blue-violet¹ and UV radiation on humans.

Excess blue-violet radiation¹ adversely affects eyesight. It causes visual fatigue and may contribute to degenerative changes in the retina and macula. Moreover, exposure to blue-violet light¹ in the evening adversely affects the quality of sleep. This is because blue light helps maintain your circadian rhythm during the day, but too much of it late at night (such as reading on a phone, smartphone or computer) can disrupt this cycle, potentially causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue.

Polarized Xperio lenses protect your eyesight from the glare of the sun and eliminate blinding reflections that occur when light reflects from flat surfaces - wet roads, water surfaces, snow. This increases the visual contrast and colors are seen clearly. Additionally, the shapes and outlines of visible objects, e.g. oncoming cars, are more clearly visible.

Xperio glass is a good choice for all outdoor activities, allowing you to look at the surrounding world comfortably and safely. Xperio polarized lenses are recommended for drivers and people practicing various outdoor sports. They block UV rays falling on the front lenses.
One of the most troublesome phenomena drivers face are blinding reflections.

Their source is most often intense sunlight that is reflected from the road surface or dashboard. An effective way to eliminate this unfavorable phenomenon is to use polarized glasses. Natural light that is reflected from a flat surface becomes polarized light. The polarizing filter blocks polarized light, ensuring visual comfort.

Reflect Control – A milestone in spectacle glass technology.
Reflect Control is a new technology used in the EyeDrive® coating. It provides a unique combination of refining coating and glass construction. This technology minimizes the irritating effect caused by too much scattered light and makes us perceive the image with much better contrast. At night, reflections in EyeDrive® glasses are up to 90% lower compared to conventional, organic glasses without an anti-reflective coating (index 1.6) and 57% lower compared to standard, fully refined glasses. During the day, EyeDrive® lenses perform as well as fully refined, standard eyeglass lenses, and at night they perform even twice as well. Thanks to wide viewing zones, the new technology helps provide drivers with good visibility in all viewing directions - even in such critical moments as complicated driving situations or reverse parking in very narrow, hard-to-reach places.
